Pinterest importer

Pinterest Importer allows you to connect to your Pinterest.com account; to grab all your pins (including from secret and optionnally followed boards); and to import them in WordPress.

The difference with other plugins is that it is not based on the (very limited) official Pinterest API; which also requires SSL.
This means that you can make a full backup (instead of getting only the last x pins); but it also means the plugin may broke one day or another.
Better use it quick !

  • Nice GUI
  • Uses a custom post type, which makes it easy to use specific theme templates or capabilities, etc.
  • Get pins from regular boards, secret boards and followed boards (optional).
  • Assign a WordPress category to each of your board (or let us handle it automatically)
  • Supports both image & video pins; and sets automatically the corresponding post format
  • Downloads original HD images from pins.
  • Can be used on an ongoing basis : pins will not be imported several times
  • Backup & display the pin metadatas in a metabox
  • Set pin creation date as post date
  • Handles hashtags, which are converted to post tags
  • Cache pins in a JSON file for every board

download it for free on WordPress.org.

Kassim Olivier

I made the website of Kassim Olivier Ahmed. He’s a director of photography.

He wanted something simple to showcase his (nice) work, and his girlfriend made the layouts.

After several years (2013-2018) using it, he has now a new website made by someone else.

Tim-Burton.net

As a teenager, Tim Burton was my favorite director.

I used to stroll on a forum that was dedicated to him, but its websmaster decided to stop the work and asked me if I wanted to take it over.

So I bought the domain tim-burton.net, found some folks to help me as editors, and managed the website during ten years (2000-2010).

before the WP migration

Most of my coding skills were learnt at that time : I learnt PHP, then later I did migrate the website to a WordPress setup.

Once I was tired of it, I gave the domain and the website to the “new generation”.

tim-burton.net is still active and is so well structured that it is now (legally) an organisation. There is a lot of traffic on it.

Keyline Films

Back in 2009, everyone wanted its coverflow. Never have loved that, but, huh, I was paid to build the website of this video production agency.
